God reveals Himself in Himself<\/strong>, in Jesus<\/strong> and in the Holy Spirit<\/strong>. Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (Deuteronomy 6:4)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are a perfect unity<\/strong>. a. God has revealed Himself in creation.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n For since the creation of the world God\u2019s invisible qualities\u2014his eternal power and divine nature<\/strong>\u2014have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made<\/strong>, \u2026\u00a0\u00a0 (Romans 1:20)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n More about the meaning of \u2018being understood from what has been made\u2019 in a separate study<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n b. God is revealed in His Son Jesus.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n (when Jesus is transfigured on the mountain) \u2026 a voice from the cloud said, \u201cThis is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0 (Matthew 17:5)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Jesus said: When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 8:28)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The one who sent me<\/strong> is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 8:29)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u2026 he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father<\/strong> and do exactly what my Father has commanded me<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 14:31)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 12:50)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n I and the Father are one<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 10:30)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 14:9)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n c. God and Jesus are revealed in the Holy Spirit.<\/strong><\/span> But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name<\/strong>, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 14:26)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u2026 when he, the Spirit of truth<\/strong>, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own<\/strong>; he will speak only what he hears<\/strong>, and he will tell you what is yet to come.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 16:13)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n He will glorify me<\/strong> because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 16:14)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The Holy Spirit does not speak on His own, but proclaims what He hears from Jesus. An example of the power of trinity.<\/p>\n Jesus said: I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 14:6)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n a. The Way:<\/strong><\/span> It is often supposed that Jesus shows<\/strong> the way. Remain in me, as I also remain in you.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 15:4)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Whoever allows Jesus to lead his life, and involves Him in all life\u2019s facets, notices that he experiences deep peace on that \u2018WAY\u2019 in this<\/strong> life. b. The Truth:<\/strong><\/span> … the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 18:37)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n If you hold to my teaching<\/strong>, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 8:31-32)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Jesus spoke the truth, but He is more than someone who gives good advice. Remain in me, as I also remain in you<\/strong>. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you<\/strong>, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 (John 15:3-5)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Jesus longs not only to be believed, trusted because He speaks<\/strong> the truth. c. The Life:<\/strong><\/span> I am the way and the truth and the life<\/strong>. No one comes to the Father except through me.\u00a0 \u00a0(John 14:6)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n He meant two things by this:<\/p>\n Jesus is<\/strong> <\/span>the Life!<\/p>\n These three facets: the Way, the Truth and the Life, are bound to one another inseparably, door Jesus\u2019 powerful personality. God, as Trinity, created mankind \u2018in His image, in His likeness\u2019.\u00a0\u00a0 (Genesis 1:26) <\/p>\n A clear illustration of a trinity<\/strong> and the power<\/strong> it contains, is found in Ecclesiastes 4:12, which states: The image of a threefold cord<\/span> <\/a>is explained in a separate study.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The threefold cord is a good illustration of the power and the stability when spirit, soul and body are \u2018aligned\u2019 in a person\u2019s life, so that they form a trinity, as God is also a Trinity.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A human being, as a soul, as a personality, will receive the right insights if he orients himself, in his soul, towards the spiritual world, and receives wisdom in his heart through the Holy Spirit. This is life as a duality.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It becomes a trinity if he also applies these insights, this wisdom to his body, to his speech and behaviour, as a result of which he will be powerful in life.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Man, as spirit, soul and body, is thus aligned and acts from a trinity. With the right inspiration he will do good in this world and achieve the full potential<\/strong>, to which God created him.<\/p>\n a. Marriage is intended to be a trinity.<\/strong><\/span>
\nIn the introduction to the ten commandments God says:<\/p>\n
\nThis perfect Trinity can be interpreted as \u2018spirit, soul and body\u2019:<\/p>\n\n
\nJesus said:<\/p>\n
\nJesus and the Holy Spirit are involved in everything God says and does, thereby supporting and confirming one another in everything<\/strong>.
\nTherein lies the power<\/span> of God, but also of Jesus and of the Holy Spirit.<\/strong><\/p>\nJesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.<\/span><\/h3>\n
\nThe Way Jesus is referring to is the spiritual way to God, when He says: No one comes to the Father except through<\/strong> me<\/strong>..<\/p>\n\n
\nOne then attempts to go one\u2019s own way, with the help of the directions He gives.
\nBut Jesus IS<\/strong> the way, or, as He says with other words:<\/p>\n
\nThis is accompanied by a tremendous promise, for whoever follows Jesus in this life, will be with God forever after this life.<\/p>\n
\nJesus said:<\/p>\n
\nHe also said:<\/p>\n
\nHe longs to be trusted as a Person<\/strong>, because He IS<\/strong> the Truth.
